Ideally located on the heights of Nice, on the East hillside of the Plaine du Var, 10 minutes away from the Baie des Anges, Domaine de Toasc is a property of 12 hectares on which are planted 7 hectares of vines and 2 hectares of olives trees. It participated in the fame of Bellet, one of the smallest vineyard classified as AOC : Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée in France, who received its label more than 60 years ago.
"The wine from here", "Lou vin d'Aqui" is a "Vin de Pays" developed at the Domaine de Toasc, until the vines have over 8 years old to be classified AOC.

Toasc to the field, the wind of land, sea and the north wind keep the health of the vines, allow cultivation. Also, on the slopes where the slope reaches 180 meters, the work is often performed manually and punctuated by copper treatment, short stature, a thinning and green harvest yield-limiting to 35 hl / ha. Soils from the alluvial deposits of the Quaternary Var consist of "conglomerate" agglomerate of clay, sand and pebbles, rich in minerals. All the conditions exist to produce a real Bellet.
After their intense efforts, the story of Bernard and Jacqueline Nicoletti beginning to bear fruit as the red 2003 won gold. This year, the 2007 rosé, which received the gold medal in the competition of independent growers. The beautiful white 2007 rating confirms the talent of winemakers.
By devoting so much of their time to the upkeep of these acres, and putting so much of their soul into their new passion, Bernard and Jacqueline Nicoletti have made their estate, ‘Domaine de Toasc’, a place that is filled with life and their personal imprint, further reinforcing their roots in this beautiful region. |
